About the game

We spend too much time at the coffee place on our corner, and the dog spends too much time begging the barista. This one came out of watching drinks get layered all morning. Layer Café is a cosy pouring puzzle set on a sunny café counter. Each tall glass holds up to four layers of drinks, from black tea and lemonade to matcha latte, hot cocoa and espresso. Every drink has its own colour, pattern and icon, so you never have to tell colours apart. Tap a glass to lift it and tap another to pour. The matching layers on top all pour together, but only onto the same drink or into an empty glass. Fill a glass with four layers of one drink to finish it. Customers come to the counter with orders: a fox wants mango lassi, an owl wants blueberry tea. Finish their drink and it goes straight to them, with a bigger tip if they did not have to wait long. Later shifts bring frosted glasses that hide their lower layers until you pour off the top, and ice cubes that freeze a glass shut until you finish a glass beside it. There are 120 levels in six shifts, from Morning opening to Night owls, and every one has been checked by a solver. Earn up to three stars by finishing within the target number of pours, and spend your tips on an extra empty glass when you are stuck. Undo, restart and hints are always at hand.

How to play

Tap or click a glass to lift it, then tap another glass to pour. The matching layers on top pour together, onto the same drink or into an empty glass, up to four layers. Finish a glass of one drink to complete it; a customer who ordered it is served at once. Frosted glasses show their lower layers as they reach the top. An iced glass thaws when a glass beside it in the same row is finished. Undo (5 per level), Restart, Hint (3 per level) and Extra glass (20 coins) are on the counter. Keyboard: number keys pick glasses, arrows and Enter also work, U undo, H hint, Escape pauses.
