About the game
My class does a five-minute warm-up before maths, and this started as a way to make it less of a chore. Three short drills, each under a minute, then everyone gets to water the plant. The workout spreads across attention, speed, memory, maths and flexibility. There are eight drills: Colour clash, Quick sums, Number trail, Glow grid, Arrow focus, Echo symbols, Shape switch and Bigger bag. Each one adapts as you play, getting harder after right answers and easing off after a mistake, so it settles where you get about four in five right. Finish the workout and water your plant: it grows new leaves, then buds, flowers and branches. Beat your personal bests, follow your scores on the Progress page, and unlock a new drill for free play with every workout. The drills are games, not tests. They show how you're doing in these drills and nothing more.
How to play
Press Play to start today's workout. The first time you meet a drill, a short practice shows you how it works; you can skip it. Tap or click the answers. Keyboard: number keys for Colour clash, type answers for Quick sums and Number trail, the letter on each cell for Glow grid, and arrow keys for the other drills. Space or Enter skips the countdown, and Escape pauses. After the third drill, water your plant.
