About the game
We usually draw everything with felt tips. This time we swapped the pens for cardboard and masking tape and made a box full of riddles where the obvious answer is usually not quite it. Every riddle is a card inside an open box: a one-line question on tape and a little scene to poke at. The trick might be in the picture, in the words of the question, in the hint bulb or the riddle number, on the lid, in the box itself, or with Flap, the cardboard mascot who reacts to everything you try. There are 30 riddles in three boxes of ten, from gentle warm-ups to properly sneaky ones. Tap, drag, hold, double-tap, swipe, rub, shake, wait, zoom, tip the box by its walls so loose things roll, or close the lid. After every solve a short line explains why the trick was fair, and a sticker goes on the box lid. Stuck? A free nudge unlocks after 20 seconds, and for one lightbulb an animated hand shows you the answer. You can also skip a riddle for two bulbs and come back to it later.
How to play
Read the question, then poke around. Tap, drag, hold or swipe things in the scene. The words of the question, the hint bulb, the riddle number, the lid, the box and Flap can all be part of the answer. Tip the box by dragging its side walls or with the arrow keys. Zoom with the mouse wheel, a pinch, or + and -. Tap the bulb for hints: the nudge is free after 20 seconds, the answer costs 1 bulb and skipping costs 2. You start with 3 bulbs and earn one for each new solve. Escape or the pause button opens the menu.
