About the game
I wanted an excuse to draw a conveyor belt on a canvas and it turned into a puzzle. Each pot only paints the first pixel it can see, so the trick is working from the outside in. Paint Loop is a calm colouring puzzle. A grey pixel picture sits inside a conveyor belt, and you send round paint pots onto the belt one at a time. Each pot rides one lap round the picture and looks along every row and column it passes. If the first grey pixel there is its colour, it paints it. Painted pixels stop blocking, so painting the outside uncovers the inside, and the order you send pots in is the whole puzzle. A pot with paint left over after its lap waits in a small tray and can be sent again. Let the tray fill up and you are stuck. There are 72 pictures in six galleries, from Fruit stand and Animal friends to Sweet treats, Sea and sky and Wide world. They grow from small two-colour fruit to big six-colour canvases with four queues of pots, and every one has been checked by a solver. Earn up to three stars by finishing within par sends, use up to three hints per picture, and collect the finished pictures in the gallery.
How to play
Tap or click the front pot of a queue to send it onto the belt. It rides once round the picture and paints the first grey pixel in each row and column if it is the pot's colour. A pot with paint left over parks in the tray; tap it to send it again. Fill every pixel to finish the picture. If the tray is full you can add one extra slot per picture or restart. Hint (3 per picture) is in the top bar. Keyboard: 1 to 4 send from the queues, Q W E R T (Y) send from the tray, H hint, Escape pauses.
