About the game

小さな川の数字パズルです。A small number puzzle on a river: clear stones in pairs, catch the frogs. Pairstones is a calm number puzzle on a sunlit riverbed. Every stone carries a number from 1 to 9. Tap two stones that are equal, like 3 and 3, or that add up to ten, like 4 and 6, and they wash away and leave a hollow. Two stones pair when they touch side by side, above and below, or on a diagonal, or when one ends a row and the other starts the next. Cleared hollows never block, so stones far apart can still meet across a gap. Clear a whole row and it washes away for bonus points. When no pairs are left, Add stones copies every stone that is left onto the end of the river. The river has its own life. Lily stones sit on a lily pad and are worth 50 extra points. Frogs settle on a stone with no partner and hop to a neighbour after every move; clear their stone within three moves to catch them, or they leap away and splash three new stones in. Partners that make ten share a colour and a pattern, so the numbers are easy to read at a glance. There are 72 stages in six pools, from Mossy spring to Moonlit delta, each with goals such as clearing the board, catching frogs or collecting lily stones, and every one checked by a solver. Use fewer Add stones for more stars. There is also a new daily board every day with a streak to keep, and an endless river that earns more Add stones for every row you wash away.

How to play

Tap or click a stone to pick it up, then tap a second stone to pair them. A pair is two equal numbers or two numbers that add up to 10. They must touch side by side, above and below or on a diagonal, or follow each other in reading order, with only cleared hollows between them. A cleared row washes away. Add stones copies the remaining stones onto the end (limited per stage). Lily stones give 50 bonus points. Clear a frog’s stone within 3 moves to catch it. Hint (3 per stage) shows a pair. Keyboard: arrows move, Enter picks, A adds stones, H hint, M sound, Escape pauses.
