About the game

My sister and I do jigsaws every winter, and she kept losing pieces under the sofa. So I made one where the pieces can't go anywhere. Thin, bevelled pieces lie on a cosy craft table under a warm lamp. They lift when you pick them up and snap to their neighbours and to their place on the board. Choose from 17 pictures in four collections: paintings of a rainy reading nook, a harbour at golden hour, a cottage garden and a woodland picnic; photographs of Venice, a canal bridge, autumn woods, a sunny park and an old town alley; patchwork quilts; and painted hills. Or make a puzzle from a picture of your own: choose, drop or paste it, frame the part you like and pick the number of pieces. Every puzzle can be 12, 24, 48, 96, 150 or 200 pieces, and there's a new daily puzzle each day. Use the tools when you want them: a hint that shows a piece and its spot, an edges filter, the picture to look at, a faint ghost on the board, and tidy and scatter for the loose pieces. Pieces can be turned for an extra challenge. On phones a tray holds the loose pieces and you drag them up onto the table. Every finished puzzle hangs on your gallery wall in the frame you choose. There's no way to fail and no timer unless you turn one on.

How to play

Drag pieces onto the board. A piece snaps when it's close to its spot or to a neighbour it belongs with, and joined pieces move together. Scroll or pinch to zoom. Drag the empty table, use the right mouse button or two fingers to pan. Hint shows a piece and its spot, Edges hides the middle pieces, Picture shows the whole image, Ghost prints it faintly on the board, Tidy lines up loose pieces and Fit frames everything. With turning on, tap a piece to turn it. On phones, drag pieces up out of the tray. Keyboard: N picks up the next piece, arrows move it, Enter puts it down, R turns it, + and - zoom, Escape pauses.
