Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account details. You sign in with Google or GitHub. We receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider. We never see your password.
• What you add. Your handle, display name, bio and profile image; the games, images and descriptions you upload; and your comments and likes.
• Messages. What you send us from the contact page, linked to your account.
• Plays. We count plays for each game.
• Usage. We use PostHog analytics to see how the site is used, such as pages viewed, your browser and device type, and your approximate location.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider processes your IP address and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

How we use it

• To run your account and show your public profile, games and comments.
• To review games before they go live and to act on reports.
• To count plays.
• To answer your messages.
• To understand and improve Mayavoo, and to keep it secure.

What others can see

Your handle, display name, bio, profile image, published games and comments are public. Your email address and messages are not.

Cookies

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and PostHog uses a cookie or local storage to recognize return visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; signing in needs them. Your browser also keeps a list of the last ten games you played, so the home page can show Continue playing. It stays on your device and is never sent to us; clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run Mayavoo for us: Cloudflare for hosting and storage, PlanetScale for our database, PostHog for analytics, and Google and GitHub for sign-in. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account data while your account exists. You can change your profile in the creator studio. To get a copy of your data, or to delete your account and data, send a request from the contact page.

Children

Mayavoo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
