If you want racing games online that start in a browser tab, Mayavoo is the place to begin: open its racing and driving section, pick a game and press play. There is nothing to install, no account to make, and the games run on a computer, a phone or a tablet.
The two games below show the range, and they could hardly be more different. One is a slow-burn hill climb about balance and fuel. The other is a quick circuit racer about drifting and overtaking.
Crestline: a hill climb from behind the wheel
Crestline puts you in the driver's seat on a road that keeps rolling over crests, dips and ramps. You only have two inputs, gas and brake, but they do a lot. On the ground they push you forward or hold you back. In the air they tilt the car nose up or nose down, and letting go levels it out.
The run ends if you land on your roof, and it also ends if the fuel gauge empties, so you keep an eye out for red fuel cans. Coins you pick up along the way pay for upgrades in the garage: engine, suspension, tyres and fuel tank. The same coins buy new vehicles and stages, from an old tractor to a low-slung racer, and from grassy hills to a moon stage with low gravity.
If the cockpit view makes you queasy, press C for a chase camera.
Circuit Drift: short races on coastal tracks
Circuit Drift is the faster, more competitive pick. You line up against three rival cars for two laps on one of three seaside circuits, and the finishing position earns a gold, silver or bronze medal. Finish all three circuits to complete the festival.
The trick is the drift. Holding the drift key while steering slides the car through a corner and builds up nitro, which you then spend on the next straight. You also choose between Touring and Sport handling before a race, so the car handles the way you like.
Which one to play first
| Crestline | Circuit Drift | |
|---|---|---|
| Style | Hill climb, distance runs | Circuit racing against rivals |
| Main skill | Balance and fuel management | Drifting and timing nitro |
| Keyboard | D or right arrow for gas, A or left arrow for brake | A/D or arrows to steer, Space to drift, Shift for nitro |
| Touch | Gas and brake pedals in the corners | Steering pad plus Drift and Nitro buttons |
| Progress | Coins and garage upgrades | Medals per circuit, kept for the current session |
Pick Crestline if you like long, tense runs where one bad landing ends it. Pick Circuit Drift if you want a full race in a few minutes.
A few tips for the first runs
- In Crestline, ease off the gas before a steep hill, or the car will tip over backwards.
- On the big ramps, hold gas to rotate and let go early so the wheels meet the ground first.
- In Circuit Drift, drift through slow corners to fill the nitro, then spend it on the straight that follows.
- Circuit Drift keeps records only for the current play session, so finish the festival in one sitting if you want to see it through.
How playing on Mayavoo works
Mayavoo is a free site for browser games made by independent creators. The team plays and checks each game before it goes live, and every game runs in a sandboxed frame. A short Google ad may appear before a game starts and when you leave it, and none appears while you race. Signing in with Google or GitHub is optional and only needed to like or comment.
When another site fits better
Poki and CrazyGames both run large racing, car and driving sections. If you want to scroll through a long catalogue of titles in one place, those are worth a visit. Mayavoo is the better pick when you want a short, checked shelf and a calm page with no ads during play.
